This intimate event is geared towards candid discussion around our food systems. Who is doing work that inspires us? What are our greatest needs? What are the things we can do as individuals? Where is the greatest potential for impact through volunteerism? Where do we go next?

Festival of Nations 2019

The International Institute’s annual Festival of Nations is the most diverse, oldest and longest running multicultural festival in the Midwest. Since 1932, its goal has been to inspire people to discover more about our world and embrace the rich cultural diversity in our community. Nearly 100 ethnic groups will come together for a unique, 4-day experience that celebrates cultural heritage through dancing, performances, exhibits, demonstrations and cuisine. The Festival is a department of the International Institute of Minnesota, whose mission is to “help New Americans achieve self-sufficiency and full membership in American life.”

Saint Paul Farmers Market at Union Depot

The St. Paul Farmers Market and Union Depot have teamed up to host an indoor midweek winter farmers market. The market will be the only midweek indoor winter market in Saint Paul and will offer Lowertown workers and residents an easy way to pick up fresh, seasonal produce and other locally-made goods during their lunch hour.

Every Wednesday (November 7 – December 19) from 10 AM – 1:30 PM stop by Union Depot to shop locally grown produce, baked goods, jams + jellies, honey, eggs, chocolates, sauces + more! The market will be setup in the historic Head House just a few steps from Union Depot Bar & Grill and Java Express.
