for farmers, for consumers, and for everyone in-between.
What is Slow Food?
Our members are farmers, home cooks, brewers, vintners, chefs, producers, legislators, grocers, nutritionists, students, bakers and eaters—united in our support for good, clean, fair food.
Sit next to your neighbor, your farmer, your chef, your friend and share in good food. This year, we'll share our dreams for a better food systems, and then discuss how we can work together to make it a reality.
This intimate event is geared towards candid discussion around our food systems. Who is doing work that inspires us? What are our greatest needs? What are the things we can do as individuals? Where is the greatest potential for impact through volunteerism? Where do we go next?
The Minnesota Chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier is throwing the spotlight on Minnesota’s women chefs. Some of the Twin Cities’ most creative kitchens are led by women chefs. The taste-around lets you mingle and chat with the chefs as you sample a delicious array of small plates, wine tastings, craft cocktails/mocktails and sweets.
The International Institute’s annual Festival of Nations is the most diverse, oldest and longest running multicultural festival in the Midwest. Since 1932, its goal has been to inspire people to discover more about our world and embrace the rich cultural diversity in our community. Nearly 100 ethnic groups will come together for a unique, 4-day experience that celebrates cultural heritage through dancing, performances, exhibits, demonstrations and cuisine. The Festival is a department of the International Institute of Minnesota, whose mission is to “help New Americans achieve self-sufficiency and full membership in American life.”

Minnesota is a unique, vibrant community of diverse cultures. We're committed to highlighting food traditions, connecting individuals across cultural divides and unifying our community around the fight for good, clean, fair food for all.
The more accessible good, clean, fair food becomes, the easier it is for our community to have a holistic approach to the food we eat. We're working with growers, suppliers, and consumers to find innovative ways to improve accessibility.
Access to good, clean, fair food in Minnesota starts with supporting the farmers that grow this food. We're connecting farmers to resources, helping them succeed, and raising consumer awareness for issues affecting local farms.
Growth and awareness comes from being present and involved, and by making a positive impact on our community. We are reaching out, constantly building our team, and working together to build a better food system.
