Elevating the quality of our food And taking time to enjoy it

Slow Food is an international organization founded in Italy in 1986 as a reaction to the first McDonald's opening in Rome. Slow Food's goals are to defend the biodiversity of our food, offer taste education and link producers of excellent food to consumers. The organization has more than 83,000 members worldwide. The Minnesota convivium (or chapter) has several events each year to celebrate regional food and producers and to introduce local farmers and artisans to a wider audience.
