Slow Food Minnesota (Twin Cities) is part of Slow Food International, which began in Italy in 1986 as a protest against Romes first McDonalds. Slow Food is a global, grassroots organization with supporters in 150 countries who link the pleasure of good food with a commitment to their communities and the environment. The organization has more than 150,000 members worldwide.
Our members are farmers, home cooks, vintners, musicians, chefs, wine lovers, moms and dads, grocers, brewers, writers, nutritionists, students, bakers, lawyers, engineers . . . united in our support for good, clean, fair food.
