Slow Food Annual Gathering 2019

Sit next to your neighbor, your farmer, your chef, your friend and share in good food. This year, we'll share our dreams for a better food systems, and then discuss how we can work together to make it a reality.

This intimate event is geared towards candid discussion around our food systems. Who is doing work that inspires us? What are our greatest needs? What are the things we can do as individuals? Where is the greatest potential for impact through volunteerism? Where do we go next?

Farmer's Lunch - Neighborhood Roots

The farming season has wound down for the year, and it’s a good time to connect and reflect on matters surrounding good, fair and clean food. Moses Momanyi of Dawn2Dusk Farm and the Slow Food Twin Cities Board of Directors invites farmers, from the Neighborhood Roots Market and elsewhere, to an after-market lunch and a conversation about food. We'll gather in the Bachmans greenhouse on January 26th from 2-3pm, following the day’s market.

Slow Food Happy Hour - Terra Madre

For our January Happy Hour, meet us at Urban Growler to connect with the international community of good food eaters, producers, advocates, and chefs! This month, we’ll be celebrating our Minnesota delegates to Terra Madre as they recap their September adventure to the international Slow Food event in Turin, Italy.

Terra Madre and Salone del Gusto is Slow Food’s largest international gathering happening every two years in Turin, Italy. It brings together farmers, chefs, writers, political food activists, educators, brewers, vintners, and food producers from over 150 countries to discuss and celebrate edible biodiversity and the future of food.
