The market will be the only midweek indoor winter market in Saint Paul and will offer Lowertown workers and residents an easy way to pick up fresh, seasonal produce and other locally-made goods during their lunch hour.

Every Wednesday (November 7 – December 19) from 10 AM – 1:30 PM stop by Union Depot to shop locally grown produce, baked goods, jams + jellies, honey, eggs, chocolates, sauces + more! The market will be setup in the historic Head House just a few steps from Union Depot Bar & Grill and Java Express.

Support the East Phillips Indoor Urban Farm Project

The East Phillips Neighborhood Institute (EPNI) is asking for support. The group is comprised of neighborhood groups, including Tamales y Bicicletas, Seward Co-op's July SEED recipient. The EPNI is working to secure land for an urban farm project that would bring affordable housing, urban food production, a coffee shop and a bicycle shop to the southside neighborhood.

The next step in the process is the Minneapolis Ways and Means Committee meeting at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 4, at Minneapolis City Hall in room 317 on the third floor. The EPNI is asking for supporters to bring signs calling for space to be designated for the project at the Roof Depot site, as well as suspending demolition of the building on the site until acreage is secured.

Come and make your voice heard at this monthly social, action-packed letter-writing event, hosted by the Sierra Club North Star Chapter.

Did you know that if climate change continues at current rates, hops - a key ingredient in beer - won't be able to grow in North America any more? Are you worried about our environment, and our country's current policies and political directions that impact our Earth? 

We'll write handwritten letters all while enjoying local beer (or another beverage of your choice). This month, we'll also write some postcards, encouraging voters to elect environmental champions. The Sierra Club will provide free snacks, as well as all the info, materials, and support you need to write effective correspondence. Stop by anytime during the two-hour window.
