Local Foods

This is a list of businesses that follow the Slow Food principles of “Good, clean and fair.” These farms, artisans and retailers produce or use food that is flavorful and healthful, and grown in a way that protects the environment and respects workers. Newer listings were approved by our standards committee, while older listings were informally suggested by board members.

Where to eat

These restaurants abide by the principles of Slow Food. They have a consistent policy of purchasing locally and using only the finest sustainably farmed products. They use free-range and grass-fed meats and poultry and organic fruits and vegetables. Their menus change based on the seasons.
