Enjoy the celebration and volunteer with Slow Food at the
Chipotle Cultivate Festival on Saturday, August 22
(or help us plan a snack this Saturday, August 1)

Slow Food Minnesota, in partnership with Slow Food USA, will be gardening with kids and giving out healthy snacks at the Chipotle Cultivate Festival at Loring Park in Minneapolis on Saturday, August 22. There will be plenty of good food and drink to sample, food-inspired activities for all ages, lots of live music, and demos by local and national culinary talent including TV’s Andrew Zimmern, Jim Christiansen of Heyday, and Gavin Kaysen of Spoon and Stable.

Chipotle Mexican Grill is a partner in Slow Food USA’s National School Garden Program. The restaurant follows Slow Food principles by using only non-GMO ingredients, seasonal local produce as available, pasture-raised dairy, and meats free of antibiotics and hormones.

How to get involved:
• Volunteer on August 1 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. to be part of a group that comes up with an idea for a simple, tasty, local, and healthy snack of granola or trail mix to give to festival goers.
• Volunteer with friends or family at the festival, and spend two hours (between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.) sharing our healthy snack or helping kids plant heirloom veggie seeds. Enjoy the festival the rest of the day.
• All volunteers on the day of the festival will receive a food voucher for use during the festival as well as a $50 Chipotle gift card.
