Join Slow Members and their guests for an delicious local dinner in a LEED certified (environmentally friendly) space. Chef Jason Blair came to Red Stag from the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. He’s now cooking updated classics in Northeast Minneapolis.

First Course: choice of Pork Terrine with Dragsmith Farms Greens or Brown Butter Parsnip Soup
Second Course: choice of Duck Cassoulet with House Made Sausage and Stewed Cannelloni Beans or Saffron and Squash Risotto with Stickney Hills Goat Cheese
Dessert: Cherry Spice Cake with Creme Fraiche

Poetry and Pizza

Saint Agnes Baking Company
644 Olive Street, St. Paul
Danny “Klecko” McGleno, the master baker at Saint Agnes, belongs to a chefs’ poetry collective. His group will present a reading of poems on food from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. Afterwards, you can grab a dough ball, tomato sauce and cheese and assemble your own pizza to bake in St. Agnes’ commercial ovens. Bring any other toppings you’d like to use. Members of the St. Paul Bread Club will also be in attendance.

Our annual spring foraging dinner, this year on a beautiful farm with a hazelnut grove. Learn about foraging and what makes a healthy farm ecosystem. Enjoy a dinner designed around foraged foods with wine and beer included. Details to come.
