Peace Coffee Roastery Tour & Tasting

Members only! Saturday, July 11, 10 a.m. – noon
Peace Coffee Roastery (inside the Green Institute)
2801 21st Ave. South, Suite 130
Minneapolis, MN 55407

Lee Wallace, Peace Coffee’s Director/Queen Bean (and a Slow Food member), will take Slow Food members around the roastery and share the history and mission of Peace Coffee. She will also talk about upcoming trips to origin and other exciting projects. Afterwards Keith Tomlinson, Peace Coffee’s head roaster, will discuss the process of roasting coffee, how Peace Coffee works to get the best flavors out of our beans and lead a tasting of some of his favorite coffees. This includes our much-awaited next seasonal coffee offering, a Ugandan Peaberry from the Gumutindo Co-op located in the volcanic Mount Elgon region. Scones and muffins will be provided by the Birchwood Cafe. There is plenty of parking for cars and bikes.

You might enjoy visiting the nearby Midtown farmers market before or after the event.

Advance registration required: This is a member-only event with room for 25 people. To reserve, please send an e-mail to Jane through the contact form. (One space per single membership, two per couple membership. If you wish to bring a non-member guest, we will place him or her on a waiting list, and will let you know if space is available.)
